Meet Kristal.

Kristal Shanahan

Kristal Shanahan is a night owl who writes as the moon rises, creating stories that will torment your soul. She has been writing horror fiction for a little over two years, starting with short stories, and is featured in a handful of anthologies. Her books include the short story collection Four Seasons of Horror, the urban legend novella A Mortician’s Shadow, and Evil Screams, a short novel about a female supernatural serial killer. These are available on her website, along with information about her upcoming novelette, Halloween Mayhem: An Evil Screams Story.

She publishes through her imprint, Lady in Horror LLC, and is a member of the Women in Horror Association, Midwest Book Beat, and KC Book Beat.

Residing in Kansas with her husband of over 20 years, they wrangle their chaotic dogs for fun. Kristal is a retired high school English teacher but substitute teaches occasionally. Their daughters are living their best lives; the youngest is in college, and the oldest is in California working as a wedding photographer. Kristal enjoys traveling, reading, writing, and weight training. Consuming a copious amount of coffee is a daily nonnegotiable.
